GP Driving School offers driving lessons throughout the Manchester, Warrington and Stockport areas.

Lessons are for all ages and abilities - from beginners to those in need of refresher lessons.

Nervous drivers are very welcome.

To help new drivers reduce the cost of their car insurance we teach the Pass Plus driving course.

All tuition is on a one to one basis.

We operate a door to door service.

For people looking to become Driving Instructors we provide Driving Instructor Training at all levels.

We are currently recruiting ADI's and PDI's.

BTEC in Driving Science
We now have a BTech acredited instructor and offer the follow course: The BTEC in Driving Science is an intermediate vocational training qualification (equivalent to a GCSE in level) and the world’s first novice driver education programme. The course follows a highly structured learning programme (inclusive of post-test elements such as motorway driving and driving at night) and works in conjunction with normal practical driving lessons.

The Aim
To ensure the next generation of young drivers are safer, more responsible and fully equipped to deal with 21st century life on the road.

BTEC Background - Based on 2 key pieces of research:
The frontal lobe part of the brain responsible for anticipating danger and assessing risk is not developed fully until about the age of 25. This goes someway to explaining the over representation of 17-24 year olds in crashes that have caused death and serious injury (In 2007, over 10,000 young people were killed or seriously injured in road crashes in the UK).

Attitude and behaviour, rather than lack of vehicle handling skills contribute to 19 out of 20 crashes. The BTEC addresses the importance of integrating the right attitude with car control skills.
